PME Professional - Marie Clare McGheeClasses can be booked over the phone on 0141 427 2777 and paid for with a card or just pop into the shop during normal opening hours. Can we remind you that classes are strictly first-come first-served. All classes will be held in the teaching kitchen within the SugarCraftShop building at 31 Lorne Road, Hillington Park, G52

  1. All-inclusive Workshops - single evening / or block
    For those of you who wish to hone one particular skill or start from scratch... why not try one of our intimate all-inclusive workshops where Marie Clare will take you through the steps and show you the techniques, tools and tricks-of-the-trade to achieve the desired effect - all equipment, tools and materials included in the price and you get to take home what you make - yum, yum - so let's get Britain baking! 
  2. SugarCraftShop Certificate Blocks
    There are three PME Professional Modules which count towards your Masters Certificate: Sugarpaste, Sugar Flowers and Royal Icing & Piping. Each module is a completely separate course and it is not essential to complete all three modules as PME Professional Diplomas will be awarded on completion of each module. The Masters Certificate will be awarded on completion of all three modules. Please remember that the PME Diplomas represent a considerable commitment due to the length of course, associated homework requirements and materials list, so read the notes and Terms and Conditions below thoroughly.
  3. Private Classes / Business Coaching - 1 to 1 NEW
    Available Mon-Thurs daytime, 1 or 2 hour slots depending on topic.

SugarCraftShop Ltd reserves the right to cancel or change a course. In these circumstances SugarCraftShop Ltd will normally arrange an alternative date and offer students either a transfer to this date or, if this date is not convenient, a full refund will be given. Courses are non-transferable at all times and the booking is only valid for the initial recipient. Course fees must be paid at time of booking and gift vouchers can be used to purchase courses or as part payment. We are not able to offer a refund or transfer if a student cannot attend a course. The exception to this will be if the class is a sell out and we can sell the canceled space to someone on the waiting list, then the fee will be refunded minus a £5 admin fee for workshops and a £20 admin fee for Diploma courses and multi week block courses. Note: course bookings or cancellations can only be instructed by speaking to a member of SugarCraftShop staff in person or over the phone and not by email, voicemail or Facebook message.
Flat shoes/trainers within the teaching space only please. Kindly remember that fluffy jumpers and cardigans with loose fibres can spoil your work and should not be worn to class. Access is fifteen minutes prior to class commencement for a quick refreshment if required (unless student is travelling by public transport - please let us know at time of booking, when a student may arrive earlier by prior arrangement). No mobile phones within the kitchen space during class time strictly. Students must follow instructions from your tutor at all times.
Please DO NOT book onto a PME DIPLOMA COURSE IF YOU ARE A COMPLETE BEGINNER - there is far too much to get through for a complete beginner to undertake. PME students receive a discount on PME products for the duration of their course. Students will receive a complimentary PME Course Kit on commencement of each module. Where applicable Course Kits that are included within the structure of each module are not exchangeable or refundable under any circumstances. Students must attend 26 hours of class time to complete each module. Failure to attend for the full quota of hours will lead to the student being not certificated at the end of the course. Course absences may be made up by booking a private class at the students own expense or by joining the next rotation of that course for the missed class(no charge). Course fees are non-refundable unless the place is taken by another student (minus at £20 admin fee). Courses normally carry a waiting list, so we do our utmost to fill a cancellation. Note: PME Professional Diploma modules are designed specifically for anyone wishing to produce cakes to a professional standard for family & friends or as a commercial business and follow strictly the PME Curriculum as outlined in the course workbook supplied. In addition to the 26 hours spent in class, students will be expected to practice and complete homework in their own time in preparation for the subsequent week's class, Students must realise that they have to have the time to devote to practice and prepatation at home prior to booking onto the course. Students who are felt to have not spent enough time on personal practice/homework may have their certificate withheld until the appropriate work is submitted to the standard that each individual student is expected to achieve. Students work both within class and at home should reflect the students progress in class. While some work produced at home may be presented towards their final peice of work at the end of week 8, the majority of work for this must be produced within class time.
