Sugarflair Colours Gum Arabic 20g

Gum Arabic is an edible powder form of a natural gum from the Acacia tree. It has many uses in cake decorating. 

Baking: When added to the dry ingredients of a cake mixture, it will add some natural fibre, and assist in rising. Use two teaspoons to a 6 egg mixture. 

Glue: Mix two teaspoons to 60ml water to make a glue that will stick sugar pieces together. 

Glaze: Create your own glaze with two teaspoons to 60ml water to give a shine to sugar paste and marzipan. This may be increased by adding several layers, allowing each layer to dry before adding another. 

Store: in a screw top jar in the fridge for several months. You may add a little alcohol to increase the shelf life.
